Orient Watches, an extraordinary story

Orient Watch is a watch manufacturer from Japan with a long history. The company was founded in Tokyo in 1950. Its history, however, dates back to 1901, when Shōgorō Yoshida, the founder, opened a watch shop in Tokyo. Orient focuses on classic design and predominantly mechanical movements. To this day, Orient manufactures its movements entirely in-house, in its own factory in Japan.

ORIENT and ORIENT STAR models are available in a wide range of categories: Sports Diver (also known as Mako/Kamasu) and M-Force (Raikou) for water sports enthusiasts and nature lovers, Sports Neo 70's revival, Classic and Simple Style — some models are affectionately known as Bambino — elegant Contemporary and Classic models, some also Semi Skeleton with an "open heart" at 9 o'clock, Multi Year Calendar, Sun and Moon, Avant-garde, Full, Semi, Modern and Layered Skeleton models, and the current Solar-powered models. Most models offer a power reserve of 40 to, in some cases, 60 hours.

ORIENT Watch Co. Ltd. merged in 2017 with Seiko Epson Corporation, a strong company with a strong watchmaking tradition and a focus on precision engineering.
